The success of any organisation requires strong leadership which provides strategic direction and communicates purpose effectively to its team. The purpose of this document is to communicate the Groote Resources Modus Operandi – the purpose of our existence, so that everyone in our team has a framework from which to operate and is better able to contribute to the shared goal of this company’s success.
This is a first step in engaging the various backgrounds of all our stakeholders and combining our experiences and expertise under an umbrella of common direction in order to build the value of our business activities. We at Groote Resources seek to create a corporate operating environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, where we listen without prejudice and people feel good about what they do.
At Groote Resources performance excellence is paramount: our team members are empowered through responsibility and innovation is encouraged to generate exceptional results. We are always looking for a better way of doing business.
During the development of our company we will utilise the values and objectives identified in this document in the planning of our activities. Where possible, we will adopt industry best practices and standards, in particular the Minerals Council of Australia, Enduring Value sustainable development framework and seek independent validation of our practices. Where this is not immediately achievable, we will adopt aspects of these frameworks as appropriate to best aid the pathway towards certification in the future.
We are focussed on responsible environmental practices where we are cognisant of our interaction with our surroundings. In combination with this goal we seek to build a safe work place and engage community members and indigenous groups to develop strong partnerships of mutual benefit. We are committed to ecologically sustainable practices and are aware of the challenges and opportunities that are presented by carbon emissions and impacts of changing climatic conditions.
It is vital that everyone at Groote Resources engages these words to give them meaning and see it develop into reality. I am a firm believer in the principle that the more people who enjoy the process the better the results and through this document, Groote Resources will be able to enhance the quality of life for all its stakeholders.
